Well, the electric guitar that drove the debut ep to such dizzying musical heights has gone. Only a brief reprise in the title track, but this is now most definitely an indie folk sound. But with such great song-writing, it is indie folk at its very best.

Once more my ears are full of that alt-country sound that brought us that debut ep. And once more, my heart is filled with love. The song-writing has never been in question. And when the musical style sits more pleasingly over my ears, there really is nothing better in life than a Great North album. And that harmonica! Early Ryan Adams was a rare genius with a mouth organ. Not so rare anymore. Hallelujah, indeed!
